PROPOSED CHANGES FOR
FINANCIAL REPORTING BY PUBLIC COMPANIES

recent Australian Government report has
recommended changes to financial reporting for
unlisted public companies. This will affect the
approximately 11,000 existing not-for-profit
organisations, including, medical colleges,
health institutions and aged care facilities,
who operate as companies limited by guarantee.

THE NEW SUPERANNUATION

July 2007 amendments to the Tobacco Act 1987
(Vic) take effect. The amendments require all
enclosed licensed premises (including gaming
venues) and some outdoor dining / drinking areas
to be smoke-free. Only the high roller rooms at
